David Miranda

David began in photography as a photo lab operations technician while in the army. He started his career shooting with a 4X5 Speed Graphic back in the days of film. Unlike his partner at Shutterbug Photo Tours, David prefers to capture the image in the camera, rather than spend time in post processing. His use of available light is outstanding…. his photographic motto: May the light be with you! David enjoys traveling and capturing special places with his camera. He loves to capture the serenity and beauty of nature, especially its wild animals!  He searches for unique locations for our upcoming photography trips – he knows the importance of planning, detail logistics, and "being at the right place at the right time with the right light" for every trip. David will join us on all of our tours and with his creativity, technical skills and knowledge of photography he will make sure that you get the best shots possible. David has an extraordinary sense of humor. Loves night sky photography. David is also an avid trout fisherman, when he isn’t in search of the right light and the perfect shot, he is at the river catching the big one.
